Fast Fact Friday-from This is Me Challenge blog

This is my first ever Fast Fact Friday from the This is Me Challenge blog that I've ever done. I hope to catch up on them soon. Maybe I will even be able to turn them into digital layouts...oh the possibilites...

1. Do you like Valentine's day?
-Yes I like finding reasons to celebrate any day of the year. You can celebrate anyone you love on Valentine's Day.

2. What is one Valentine tradition you have?
-I don't have any right now, but because of Pinterest, I hope to start some for my kids next year.

3. Who do you want to be your valentine?
-Let me see.....I want Andrew to be my Valentine.

4. What was the funniest valentine you ever received?
-Wood. Hahaha. When we were dating, Andrew asked me what wood I liked. He made me a vase out of cherry that he gave to me on May 12, 2003. On the bottom he had inscribed my name and the question, "Will you marry me?" Love that I have it forever-but it was kind of odd to get wood for a valentine. :)

5. What do you want to get from your valentine this year?
-I want loads of things...a new camera, to have all my laundry done, a 'me' day, a spa day. Truthfully, what I really want is a date with my hubby. We haven't been a lovey dovey date for a long time. I can happily report that we are going tomorrow. So excited!

Ahhh, Valentine's Day. I am hoping to make some sugar cookies before Tuesday. Let's see if that boat even gets to sail...

Challenge #6: Dear Me,

The challenge: If you could write a letter and send it to yourself when you were younger, what would you say?
Dear 16 year-old me-
Just thought I’d let you in on a couple of secrets that will help you out later on.
-School is beneficial and college even more so. Stick with it.
-Rejection is part of life. Finding the right path after is SO worth it.
-Watch out for left hand turns.  They will haunt you for life. But keep at them.
-Measure twice, cut once.(This applies to EVERYTHING you do)
-There are nice people out there. Keep being one of them.
-You won’t make choir as a Junior in High School, but your amazing daughter will tell you “Good Job, Mama” whenever you sing to her.  It’s a gazillion times better.
-Yep, I said ‘daughter’. Put aside the bad thoughts about marriage and family-they are awesome!
-Keep at the spiritual side of things.  Sometimes it’s hard, but keep at it.  Going to church, the scriptures and the Temple are so helpful.
-You truly are creative.  Stop trying to hide it.
-In a word, CONFIDENCE.  You waste years lacking it.  GET IT! You can actually accomplish so much more than you ever thought possible.
-Don’t let bad/sad thoughts rule your life.
-Don’t live life through guilt.
-Be happy. Smile. Laugh.  Do and Be those things as often as possible.

Good luck,
Me
